Attieké is one of the main staples in Ivory Coast cuisine. It’s made from Cassava, which is granulated so it becomes like couscous in texture. You usually eat it with your hands.
Description
Just smush it into a ball and pop it in your mouth, similar to how the Indians eat rice. It can be served with almost anything as a side dish (fry fish, sauce, bake chicken or fish, fry plantains, sautéed legumes).
Cooking Direction:
Microwave or steam cooking until the Attieke is soft, serve with either meat , chicken, fish & vegetable. In Cote D’Ivoire Attieke is served with Kedjenou (Chicken Stew), Grilled or fried fish. ENJOY !
The taste is mild, it’s a little bit sour almost like wheat couscous.
